The Jewish Funders Network is an international organization established in 1988 in the United States by a group of Jewish philanthropists who wanted to encourage quality philanthropy by creating a platform of cooperation, action and learning, and now has about 2,500 independent philanthropists, foundation managers and trustees around the world, who have come together to make a difference in terms of significant giving and to take an active part in processes that change the thinking and action patterns of philanthropy in the Jewish world.
JFN Israel was established in order to enable Israeli funders, who are taking a major part in JFN activities, to exchange ideas regarding their philanthropic involvement and to expand their giving circles in Israel and overseas. In addition, JFN Israel serves as a bridge for philanthropists from abroad who wish to enter the circles of social influence in Israel and expand their philanthropic activity in Israel.
JFN Israel is an accessible, intimate and fruitful meeting place for philanthropists who want to take part and initiate active and effective collaboration processes. We help each member of the organization acquire the tools that are right for him, in order to create real social change in Israel. This can happen through effective networking or shared thinking on a topic of importance, participation in one of the conferences or programs, philanthropic collaboration, even a joint venture. In every activity, our vision for social change is to connect people, ideas and initiatives, while creating added value for each and every member of the organization, in accordance with his needs and his or her philanthropic agenda.
The power of JFN Israel lies in its members. The members of the organization are philanthropists with a wide range of opinions and positions, who come together time after time in creative thinking sessions, groundbreaking programs and formative collaborations that take the world of philanthropy many steps forward and outline a fruitful and creative future of giving. The members of JFN Israel feel deep concern for Israeli society, keep abreast of the changes that are taking place in the world of philanthropy, share information with each other and initiate effective and up-to-date processes that bring about real change in Israeli society.
